Busaba Eathai was conceived by Alan Yau as a modern interpretation of the ethnic Thai canteen, inspired by the social dynamics of sharing dishes whilst sitting around a large communal table. This evolved into a uniquely characteristic interior design concept by Christian Liaigre. Liaigre employed materials including, bronze, rattan and hardwood which are warmed by the soft lighting from the watercolour paper lampshades. The decoration provides a soothing backdrop to the animation created by the dynamic of group eating, seated on sculptured benches around large square tables. The striking timber and slate shop fronts incorporate a distinctive logo signage along with interactive menu screens designed by Tomato.
The now familiar menu offers a good selection of Thai salads, noodles, curries and stir-fries. The menu also offers an extensive list of Asian inspired, juices, smoothies and drinks. A youthful and yet sophisticated Thai casual dining venue offering an affordable eating experience.
