cafébar is new to the recently refurbished Peter Jones, Sloane Square’s landmark department store. Based on the second floor of the shop, this 55-cover table-service, fully licensed bar and restaurant has one of London’s best “people watching” views, straight across the Square.

The lunch menu – created in-house by Executive Chef Robert Allen – offers a choice of starters, main courses and desserts which can be mixed and matched - so customers wanting two starters or two desserts can enjoy just that! Dishes include Grilled foie gras, roast artichoke and fine black pudding (£8.50), Air dried fillet of beef with autumn truffle oil and parmesan (£5.95), Lightly cooked king scallops, Scottish langoustines with coriander and coconut froth (£13.95) or Crisp fried risotto cakes with a wood mushroom ragu and caramelized onion (£8.95). Desserts include Rhubarb brulee (£6.50) and Poached strawberries, champagne and strawberry jelly (£6.50).

The bar serves a variety of new recipe Martini cocktails - a chocolate special is expected to be a bestseller - as well as champagne cocktails such as the PJ Pick-Me-Up, which includes ginseng and a mix of other secret power ingredients.

The bar also has seating for ten, perfect for solo or time-pressed lunchers wanting to pop into cafébar and take just a bit of time-out over a seriously good lunch.

cafébar is also open for breakfast.
