Cafe Montpeliano was founded in March 1991 by Giorgio Giusto in partnership with A. Trapani of Montpeliano Restaurant in 13, montpelier Street.

The name Montpeliano is a fusion of Montpelier & Italiano.

The projected image was to run a clean, well filled, well managed e fully staffed shop with all services available: open front breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, take away, with Italian International Menu, Wine List, Child menu.

The succes of this idea quickly became apparent in the turnover of the cafe and the birth of a new type of Customer. "Classy" fashion minded people served at speed in a very decent ambiance, at reasonable prices - in other words, the best for the least.

To date the cafe has seen lots and lots of celebrities ranging from footballers, racing and minor-racing drivers, tennis stars, pop idols, Hollywood actors, politicians, Royals and so on.

The cafe has a 50-60% image based on the theme of "La Dolce vita" movie. The walls are well fitted with pictures of old Italian Movie Stars suc as Marcello Mastroianni, Sophia Loren, Federico Fellini ...

The Menu is Italian Contemporary with lots of pastas, exotic salads and generous main courses.
