Hara (referring to the traditional cooking method carried out in North Indian villages for many generations) has recently opened within the Butler’s Wharf development and is a stone’s throw from London Bridge. Hara has been substantially refurbished throughout in a modern and clean design, making it stand out from all others in the area. Hara has received a great deal of interest from location scouts and the venue has recently been used for the Lexus Car advertising campaign.

Hara is situated on the corner of Queen Elizabeth and Curlew Street. The interior benefits from a volume of natural light due to the large floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the building. At night, candles are lit on each table and give a more private and tranquil atmosphere. The bar has ample seating covered in soft dark brown leather and on the poser platforms located around the perimeter of the bar area there are more intimate seating arrangements available.

As you enter Hara your eyes will be drawn to the translucent marble fronted bar that has been hand finished and exclusively designed for Hara. The large bar is the main feature of the ground floor and it holds over 500 different spirits and a wide range of Champagnes.

The venue comprises of two levels, with a mezzanine over-looking the cocktail lounge. There are two bars, one on the same level as the restaurant for a quieter and secluded drinking area and downstairs for a more bubbly and lively atmosphere. The bar and restaurant have a no-smoking policy so as to allow the customer to truly savour the delicious food available. For those in need of a smoke, there is a designated section adjacent to the ground floor bar.

On entering Hara you will be greeted by a host who will take you to your table in the restaurant or alternatively you can relax with a cocktail that one of the trained mixologists will prepare for you at the bar.
We recommend the Champagne and Strawberry Mojito, which is prepared with Havana Club Rum and crowned with Champagne and garnished with fresh fruits or our house Hara Cocktail made with Rosemary and Tequila.

You can either order food from the bar or from the a la carte menu being served in the fine dining restaurant on the next level. The Head Chef offers fusion food from the East which is primarily Indian in origin, served in a style accustomed to some of the finest restaurants in Europe.

Hara opens from 11 am Monday to Friday and 3pm Saturday and Sunday. The license will be extended until 12am Sunday to Thursday and Friday, Saturday until 1am.
