Vila-sacra, capital of the world as poet Carles Fages de Climent, in his book said, is a village in the middle of the plain Ampurdan. It is an old village and belonged to the monestery of Sant Pere de Rodes.
Of course Vila-sacra didn't belcome a real capital but it obtained its own rights as a village. It is situated in the middle of important communication routes only 5 km. far from Figueres and 5km. from Castelló d'Empúries.
The village is small (6'19 Km2) and it is here where you can find the Restaurant La Cúpula which is directed by Harster Bernat and Anna Martí since 1999.
