Restaurant is owned by Chef Patron Maurizio Morelli and London Restaurateur Claudio Pulze, and opened to great critical acclaim in September 2003. Both Morelli and Pulze have established recognized careers within London's highly competitive restaurant world and the combination of individual strengths has created Latium, one of the Capital's best kept secrets. Chef Maurizio Morelli's unique passion for Italian cuisine has created one of the best seasonal menus in London. With a strong commitment to sourcing Italian produce, Morelli cooks in a way that best represents the flavours and seasonal variations of Italy. Using small producers and imported ingredients from his own home town of Latina, near Rome, Morelli puts in a bid to provide the most authentic Italian flavours in London.

Adding a third and finishing element to the team at Latium, the arrival of restaurant manager Giovanni Baldino previously GM of Locanda Locatelli reunites Morelli with one of his most valued former colleagues. In managing the front of house team at Latium, Baldino brings a wealth of experience in customer service and one of the Capitals' most respected wine ‘noses'. Under his guidance Latium will continue to introduce exciting new Italian wines from emerging and lesser known growers.
