Love in the Lake District at L’Enclume

L’Enclume, the Michelin-starred restaurant (with rooms) in the lovely Lake District town of Cartmel is a wonderful spot for romance. And food. Hopefully both in this instance… For Valentine’s, they’ll be serving a special introductory (eight course) version of their signature ‘taste and texture’ menu, priced at £75 per person, which includes a champagne aperitif on arrival. Given that it’s a bit of a trek to Cartmel, why not stay over? The Valentine’s accommodation package, available on the nights of 14th, 15th and 16th February, costs £400 per couple per night, and includes half a bottle of champagne in the room on arrival, the meal as above, plus a Bucks Fizz breakfast in the morning.
