Ma Goa Restaurant first opened its doors in 1993 and thankfully secured a firm local following soon thereafter. Eleven years on, my family and I continue to serve our favourite dishes to the residents of Putney & beyond.

My Mother – known as “Ma” to our regular guests, continues to cook and advise her excellent team of chefs and assistants. She can still be found along with my Father bargaining for the freshest vegetables & spices in Southall & Tooting!!!

At Ma Goa the emphasis has always been on authentic Indian cooking which is typically served in Indian homes. My Mother believes in simple spicing, fresh seasonal ingredients and the omission of any commercial short cuts. Her team cooks little & often to ensure this so please do not be disappointed if we occasionally run out of dishes.

Our menu crosses many boundaries – We start in Goa (where my Mother grew-up), then to Mumbai where she met and married my Father (who has been cooking across India & Pakistan for over 45 years). We also have many other influences – Nepali - Persian – Pakistani & more taken from Uncles, Aunties, Grandparents & friends.

Everyone who works at Ma Goa becomes a family member and is committed to serving you, our guests, as if you were dining in our home. We would be only too happy to advise or suggest dishes to create a well balanced meal. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know.
