Kerala historically known as the spice coast is a land rich in culture and distinct cuisine. As far as the eye can see Kerala ia a expanse of luscious green coconut palms and it produces a multitude of fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh fish. Kerala has many religions and cultures which have integrated to produce some of India's finest cuisine. Keralans are experts with spices and this can be tasted in their unique style of cooking; from the mild to the fiery they cater to all tastes using the spices to enhance rather than to mask the natural flavours of vegetables or meat they accompany. More importantly true Keralan cooking does not use artificial flavour enhancers or colourings. So if you want to taste authentic Indian food try Karalan cuisine!
