Very usefully placed gastro-emporium with restaurant and bar each with their own menus, as well as a large food hall with top class gear. With so much going on, there is a good background buzz in this sub New York-esque location. Full glass frontage and high ceilings makes it bright and light even in gloomy wintertime and the cement floor and simple wooden tables and chairs gives it an edge. Between the various food operations you can have good breakfasts (full English, fruit pancakes, croissants), lunch and afternoon snacks (good cheese or charcuterie as well as cakes from the parent shop) as well as dinner food and cooking is in the modern English and European vein. Good drinks, well-thought out wines with enough by the glass, laid-back yet with-it service.
