The noodle bar is modelled on traditional Japanese ramen shops, and serves thread noodles served in soups with various toppings or teppan fried goodies. They also specialise in udon (fat white noodles), rice dishes and greens. The style and décor of Wagamama is very simple. The open-plan area has pale walls and a low ceiling. Wooden tables seating up to six people stretch from one end of the room to the other. The long wooden benches are surprisingly comfortable and while the thought of being seated so closely next to strangers can be a bit unsettling at first, it is cosy and Wagamama's diverse clientele soon relaxes because everyone there has the same purpose

Recommendations:

Tori Kara Age - Chargrilled chicken marinated with saki (Japanese rice wine), soy sauce and oregano then deep-fried and served with chilli, garlic and soy sauce.
Ebi Katsu - Deep-fried crispy prawns which are very moreish, coated with a Japanese breadcrumb called Panko. Served with a spicy red chilli sauce.
Edamame - Freshly steamed soy beans which come complete in the pod with a sprinkling of salt on top.
