Fish Kitchen

Links

Tony Allan, the man who gave us fish! in Borough Market, has now branched out into Kingston with an offshoot. The idea of the new concept is to offer quality fish – and it certainly succeeds to that end – but in an earthy environment, which is akin to an upmarket fish and chips shop. So not only is there a fish and chips counter, but punters can also sit in and order both from an a la carte menu and blackboard list comprising of grilled fish. Highlights include a delicious and lively haddock rarebit with tomato and basil salad to such specials as well churned out scallops wrapped in bacon in beurre blanc with a side of chips and salad. There really is much to like here including friendly service and reasonable prices along with Jarvis the fishmongers next door which is part of Allan’s business and been here since 1942. Now, if only every town in the land could have such a fine and chips place
