Jamie’s Italian
Jamie’s Italian – seasonal menu and exclusive dishes revealed
The Box
Newly opened in Soho at 11-12 Walker’s Court W1F 0ED, The Box is very different from most dining venues.
The Grove is without doubt one the finest boutique hotels within the boundaries of London albeit not quite centrally located. With several hundred acres of land, a renowned golf course, three restaurants and sheer luxury packaged in a style all its own, it’s hardly surprising to learn that the food is exceptionally well executed. Take Glasshouse for instance. It’s a restaurant which offers a buffet concept, but we’re not talking any old buffet. This is upmarket fare with per head prices to match and cooking which cuts the mustard when it comes to quality. Sections are split into ‘antipasti’, ‘tapas’, ‘cold and hot selections’ along with even ‘Asian’ and ‘sushi’ – not to mention dessert. Like any buffet of course, you can help yourself as often as you like. So what’s so good about it? Well, how many buffets can there be with the likes of confit of octopus salad or orange and mint salad to start with and then followed with halibut fish balls or quails eggs? Then there are the mains such as pan-fried sea bass, loin of pork, rib of beef with Yorkshire pudding and salt-baked onions, or even duck breast with cherries, to name but a few. Let’s just say that there is much too much here to even list. But with a daily changing menu and high standards, this is just superb and well worth the trip to north-west London.
